When you contact us via the contact form on our website, we collect the following personal data:
- First name
- Last name
- Phone number
- Email address
- The content of your message
We use this data solely to process your inquiry and to get in touch with you.
3.2. Accessing the Website
When you access our website, the server infrastructure temporarily processes your IP address to the extent technically necessary to deliver the requested content to your device and to ensure secure operation. Beyond this, we keep no access or tracking logs of our own and do not analyze your browsing behavior. No tracking takes place beyond the anonymous analytics described in Section 6.
3.3. Analytics
To compile aggregated, anonymous usage statistics, we use the privacy-friendly, cookieless service Plausible Analytics. No personal data is stored. See Section 6 for details.
3.4. Website Check
When you use the checking tool at /website-check, we process:
- the website address you enter
- your IP address, temporarily and solely to limit the number of requests per person
- your email address, only if you request the detailed report
No email address is needed for the check itself. The results appear directly in your browser. Entering an address is voluntary and only required if you want the report sent to you as a PDF.
To run the check, our server requests the website you specify, as a visitor with a browser would. Our server address therefore appears in the access log of the site being checked.

- Communicating regarding your request
4.2. Accessing the Website
The automatically processed data serves to:
- ensure the smooth operation of our website
- diagnose errors and resolve technical problems
- ensure the security of our systems
4.3. Website Check
The data collected by the checking tool is used to:
- run the technical check on the specified website and display the result
- produce the requested report and send it to the address given
- limit the number of checks per person so the tool is not abused
5. Legal Bases for Processing
5.1. Contact Form
- Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures): Where your inquiry relates to entering into or performing a contract, processing serves to respond to your inquiry and to take pre-contractual steps.
- Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest): For general inquiries, our legitimate interest is being able to respond to your request.

- Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest): We have a legitimate interest in providing a secure and functional website.
5.3. Analytics
- Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest): We have a legitimate interest in privacy-friendly, anonymous analytics to improve our offering.
5.4. Website Check
The check itself and the request limiting are carried out on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating the tool securely and free of abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Sending the report to your email address is done solely on the basis of your explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you give when requesting the report and may withdraw at any time.
6. Cookies and Analytics
No Cookies
This website sets no cookies. We use no tracking or marketing cookies and no cross-device recognition features.
Analytics with Plausible Analytics
To compile aggregated, anonymous usage statistics, we use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics service. Plausible:
- uses no cookies and does not access information on your device,
- stores no personal data and no IP addresses (your IP address is processed only transiently and immediately rendered unrecognizable using a daily-rotating hash),
- does not track visitors across websites or devices.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in privacy-friendly analytics (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). For more information, see Plausible’s data policy.
7. Data Sharing
We do not share your personal data with third parties for advertising purposes. In operating the website, we use the following processors, with whom data processing agreements pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR are in place:
- Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany) – hosting of the website and server infrastructure. Processing takes place on servers within the EU.
- Mailjet SAS (France, part of the Sinch group) – delivery of messages submitted via the contact form to us by email. Processing takes place on servers within the EU.
- Plausible Insights OÜ (Estonia, hosted in Germany) – cookieless, privacy-friendly analytics. No personal data is stored.
No transfer of your personal data to third countries outside the EU/EEA takes place.
8. Retention
We store your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes stated above or as required by statutory retention periods. Afterwards, the data is deleted or anonymized.
Website Check
Check results are deleted automatically 30 minutes after the check completes. If you request a report, your email address is kept together with the result until the report has been sent, and is then deleted as well. We keep no lasting record of the websites checked or the addresses entered, and we do not use those addresses for marketing.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- request access to your stored data (Art. 15 GDPR).
- request rectification of inaccurate data or completion of incomplete data (Art. 16 GDPR).
- request erasure of your data (“right to be forgotten”, Art. 17 GDPR).
- request restriction of the processing of your data (Art. 18 GDPR).
- withdraw your consent at any time (Art. 7(3) GDPR).
- object to the processing of your data based on legitimate interest (Art. 21 GDPR).
- request data portability (Art. 20 GDPR).
- lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). In Austria, this is the Austrian Data Protection Authority, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna (email: dsb@dsb.gv.at).
